In this video I will discuss some key information about Messenger, the 2nd spacecraft/probe to explore Mercury. On August 3rd, 2004 a second spacecraft was launched to rendezvous with Mercury. Unlike Mariner 10, Messenger will establish an orbit around Mercury. Because of that, it will take Messenger 7 years to establish that orbit.
