Our MCT Oil Brain & Body Fuel is an extract from coconuts, it's non-GMO, and it's not made with any toxic chemicals.
MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. These are fats that are absorbed very quickly and are turned into ketones really fast. They don't involve all of the different steps that it takes to digest fat.
The benefits of ketones for the brain are huge. It can help improve your cognitive function and brain energy.
MCT oil is really great to take in certain circumstances, such as:
1. When you are transitioning to the ketogenic diet, and you're not 100% into ketosis yet.
2. If you're feeling brain fog or experiencing mental fatigue.
3. To help give you fuel for endurance when you're exercising.
Some people who are doing intermittent fasting, like to have this in their morning coffee to help them feel satisfied and for fuel to fast longer.
It's best when you're first starting out to take a smaller amount of MCT Oil Brain & Body Fuel. You want to start small and gradually take more if needed. Taking too much, like several tablespoons, right off the bat could have a laxative effect. One teaspoon is a great place to start, but if you have any issues, lower the dose to a half teaspoon.
My MCT Oil Brain & Body Fuel will not knock you out of ketosis because it adds ketones to the body. But, if you're trying to lose weight and you plateau, you may not want to take a lot of this. This is because it's possible that your body will use MCT oil for fuel instead of your own fat.
