To work offline on Slides, you’ll need to use the right web browser. Google recommends the Chrome browser.

With Chrome installed, go to the Chrome Web Store and find the Google Docs Offline extension. Choose Add to Chrome, and provide the needed permissions. Then, choose Add Extension. Now, you can launch Google Slides.

Go to the hamburger menu, which is the series of three stacked lines in the upper left corner of your Slides window. Choose Settings from your list of options, and activate the Offline toggle switch. Google Slides is now ready to work offline.

Next, right-click on your presentation from the list of files. Again, you’ll see an Offline toggle, which you can activate.

Now, you can work on Google Slides offline. Keep in mind that not all features will work. These include spelling checks, downloading, and more. If you need to edit slides offline, you can download a PowerPoint copy of your slides by going to File / Download. Or you can find a shareable PDF from this menu.

As you can see, it’s easy to work in Google Slides offline! Pair it with premium Envato Elements templates to craft amazing slide decks from anywhere.
