Here’s the thing - your core workouts AFTER having a baby MUST look a lot different than your core workouts did BEFORE having a baby!

So many women think that in order to “tone” their stomach and lose the “mom pooch” they need to do more ab work including sit ups, crunches, and planks.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

Aggressively straining these muscles has been known to aggravate your injured rectus abdominis (“6-pack” stomach muscle) and make the “pooch” problem even WORSE! (If you have the “cone”, “dome” or “ridge” down the front of your stomach this is the EXACT problem I’m talking about!)

Instead of jumping right back in to the “traditional” exercises, you need to spend some time reconnecting to and strengthening your deep core and pelvic floor muscles. This establishes the FOUNDATION that is needed to heal your core and enable you to return to more aggressive workouts.

That’s EXACTLY what we wanted to share with you today!

This is a quick, effective, 10-minute deep core workout to help you strengthen your inner core and rehab your abs after pregnancy. Basically EVERY mom on the planet should be doing these exercises (or something very similar).

THE WORKOUT
The only equipment you’ll need is a small ball or throw pillow you can squeeze for some of the moves.

We’ll do 13 exercises for 45-second intervals. Take breaks as you need to, but we won’t take any during this workout (which might be a goal for you to work up to!).

If you notice any coning/doming/ridging that tells me that you’re not engaging your deep core correctly or that the move is too difficult for your current strength level.

REMEMBER - form is more important than just getting through the exercise!
