TWO PRIMARY CAUSES OF LOWER BACK PAIN
In my experience as a physical therapist, MOST cases of lower back pain can be attributed to two primary causes...

1. Lack of Hip Mobility: Your hips are supposed to be very mobile. When they are not, your lower back must compensate with excessive movement and this usually results in pain.

2. Lack of Core Strength: Your spine should be a very strong, stable column supported by core muscles. When these muscles are weak and don't support your spine adequately, pain often sets in.
