In this HVAC Video, I discuss the Suction Line Accumulator Tank Purpose, Function, and where it is installed at. I go over how the Accumulator Tank works to Keep the Compressor safe as well as the difference between a Receiver and an Accumulator. I discuss preventative maintenance techniques. I also go over the refrigerant flow in heating and in cooling mode as it pertains to the saturated state. I go over when the liquid is in the accumulator and when it is drained. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVAC Tech while doing this as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
