What is Caret browsing? Caret browsing or caret navigation is when you navigate through the webpage using the text cursor. Primarily all of the text editors use caret navigation to move through the document. This can be implemented in browsers as well.

When you enable caret browsing on any browser, a blinking cursor appears on the screen. You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the webpage easily. With the help of this tutorial, you will be better able to answer the question - what is caret browsing.

Step 1 -- Caret browsing option
To enable caret browsing in internet explorer, go to the menu on top and click on the "View" tab.
Once done, select the "Caret Browsing" option from the drop down menu.

Step 2 -- Enable Caret Browsing
Once done, a dialogue box will appear on the screen asking you whether you want to enable the feature or not. Simply click on "Yes" and caret browsing will be enabled. You can also enable the feature by pressing the "F7" key on your keyboard.

Step 3 -- Copy text with Caret browsing
With this feature enabled, it is easier to copy text if you are going through a long blog post or an online document. In order to do so, simply press the shift key and move the cursor towards left or right and the text will be selected accordingly. Whenever the text is selected, it's highlighted in blue on the screen. Now you can copy the text easily and navigate through the document much faster.
