In this video, we learn how to say that you went to (or are going to) specific countries in French.
There are ten example expressions.

You'll notice that the construction 'aller + to + country' is used.
The word for 'to' is 'au' and 'aux' for masculine and plural countries. For feminine countries, French uses 'en.' The distinctions are shown in purple.

The phrases are:

I went to France. (male speaker) - Je suis allé en France.
I went to Denmark. (female speaker) - Je suis allée au Danemark.
He went to the Netherlands. - Il est allé aux Pays-Bas.
She went to the United Kingdom. - Elle est allée au Royaume-Uni.
We went to Germany. - Nous sommes allés en Allemagne.
I am going to go to Canada. - Je vais aller au Canada.
I am going to go to the United States. - Je vais aller aux États-Unis.
He is going to go to Greece. - Il va aller en Grèce.
She is going to go to Mexico. - Elle va aller au Mexique.
They are going to go to Turkey. - Ils vont aller en Turquie.
