Some Windows functonality must be enabled in Windows 7 and other Windows 7 functionality must be disabled for you to use. Other Windows 7 features are enabled by default and you may want to disable them to free up system resources. Here's how to do it.
- Open the Control Panel on Windows 7 by clicking the Start button and then - --- Control Panel. -
- Click Uninstall a program.
- In the left pane, click Enable or Disable Windows Features.
- Check the boxes in front of the features to activate.
- Uncheck the boxes in front of the features to disable and click Yes to confirm.
- Note that the features are not uninstalled, they are still present on your hard drive. They are simply no longer loaded in memory or accessible. You can reactivate them at any time. Finally click OK.
