The Crochet Quick Stripes Baby Blanket gives the illusion of a Mile-A-Minute Blanket but it's a trick done in the final border.

The stripes are consisting of just 4 rows once you get started. You will end up with flat sides on the entire blanket but the time you get to the end.

The border is on the edges of the afghan where the sides are scalloped. You do have to change the colour each time for the look. So you may want to either do it as suggested or you can get away with a simple border of one colour if you wish.
