The beauty of this Petunia Container idea is that it is so easy. You don't need to even buy any potting mix or soil. There are several types of improved petunias that produce more flowers and don't require deadheading. If you decide to try this, I would go with one of those types.
I simply planted the petunia in the ground, then I cut the bottom out of a basket and placed the basket over the growing petunia. In no time, the petunia grew enough to hold the basket in place. Let me know if you've ever tried this or anything similar.
