Today I am going to explain my project “How Electricity Reaches Our Homes using a Thermal Power Plant Model.”

Coal Burning (Fuel Stage):
In a thermal power plant, coal or other fuels are burned to produce heat. This heat is used to convert water into steam in a boiler.

Steam to Mechanical Energy (Turbine Stage):
The high-pressure steam is passed over a turbine, which starts rotating. The turbine changes the energy of steam into mechanical energy.

Turbine to Electrical Energy (Generator Stage):
The turbine is connected to a generator. When the turbine rotates, the generator also rotates and produces electricity.

Step-Up Transformer (Transmission Stage):
The electricity produced is sent to a transformer, where the voltage is increased (stepped up) so it can travel long distances through high-voltage transmission lines.

Transmission to Step-Down Transformer (Distribution Stage):
When the electricity reaches near cities or villages, it passes through a step-down transformer, which reduces the voltage to a safe level.

Electricity at Home (Usage Stage):
Finally, electricity reaches our homes through electric wires. We use it to run fans, lights, TV, fridge, and many other appliances.
