Strawberry Plants Need Maintenance. A mother Strawberry plant lasts anywhere from 3 to 5 years before it starts to lose production, and then wear itself out. Or so it seems!

Join me in Part 1 of this video series where I pull apart a 4 year old Strawberry Mother Plant and see just what is going on in that mass of plants, crowns, and leaves. You'll see that Strawberry Plants don't actually age and fade away. Rather, they grow so many individual crowns within themselves that they out compete each other, giving the illusion, of a aging plant.

So let's dive in and see what that looks like, pull apart the many crowns of an adult Strawberry plant, and then divide them up individually for potting and transitioning into the garden.
