Pruning Young Peppers To Maximize Yield? Let's experiment! There's a theory out there that if you top your young seedling Pepper plants early in the spring, they will branch out more, thus sending out more flowers and because of that, more fruit.

In this video, I experiment with 6 Bell Pepper plants where 3 of them I top down to 2 leaf nodes, and the other plants, the control, I leave alone. Exact same potting conditions, soil mix, pot size, etc and we'll see once and for all this summer if this method gives us significantly more production.

Follow along at home and try to prune some of your Pepper plants and join me as we try to increase our Pepper bounty this summer!
