Supplies You'll Need to Make a Dried Orange Macrame Tassel Ornament //
Dried oranges (see instructions below to make your own, or buy some here https://tidd.ly/39t3S83)
3 mm cotton macrame string https://niromastudio.com/collections/our-best-selling-natural-cotton-string/products/5-mm-supersoft-string-natural-cotton?rfsn=4190455.f2c97e
- 8 pieces @ 9” long
Butcher Twine to hang https://amzn.to/33br2fh
Large eye needle https://amzn.to/3nJm3u2
How to Make Dried Oranges:
Slice your oranges about 1/4" thick. Discard the end pieces and dry the slices a bit on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Set your oven to 180 F. Lay the orange slices either on metal cooling racks or directly on your oven racks and let them dry in the oven for 3 to 5 hours, checking every hour or so.
Mine took closer to 5 hours. You'll want them to be dry but not brown, and they should shrink down considerably thinner.
Let cool completely (overnight is a good idea) and then you can use them to make the ornament from the video, potpourri, or a pretty garland!
