Learn how to make an easy and colorful DIY macrame wall hanging with this free pattern and tutorial (that's easy enough for beginners!)
You can get a beautiful boho ombre effect, do it all one color, or go for a full rainbow design - it's your piece of macrame wall art so do whatever you want!
NOTE: The colorful cord in this project is 5 mm single strand, I said 4 mm in the video - whoops!
SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED //
12" wooden dowel (1/2" diameter): https://amzn.to/3B29Skl
5 mm cotton macrame rope in the following lengths: https://bit.ly/3ROtyPp
- 10 pieces @ 46" long
- 1 piece @ 20" long
- 20 pieces @ 25" - 30" long (for fringe - length depends on how long you want your fringe to be, you can also use up scrap cord here!)
5 mm single strand cotton string in however many colors you want (I used 5) https://bit.ly/3tB3UDY
- total of 10 pieces @ 108" long (I used 2 pieces of each color)

This project is mainly made using the square knot plus a few other simple macrame knots.
