DIY Natural and eco-friendly tree decorations - Dried citrus ornaments in Macrame style. Make your own unique Holiday Decor with this step-by-step tutorial. This is a very simple craft to do with your little ones and will make a colorful impact on your Christmas tree. These slices smell lovely and they look almost like little stained glass ornaments in the tree.

Drying instructions:
You don’t want to use citrus that has very thick skin, so go for the thinner skinned varieties. Use a sharp knife and slice up citrus fruits (like oranges, limes, lemons, and grapefruits) half-centimeter thick. Then simply place them in the oven at 180 F (80 C) for about 4-6 hours. It all depends on the thickness of your oranges. You want the slices to be a little colorful, but dry.
