Welcome to Lecture 6 of the course "Digital Signal Processing" by Prof.David Koilpllai
Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/course_pages/EE3101.html

Video Overview
In this lecture you will review the fundamental concepts needed for discrete time signal processing. We will cover the basic discrete time signals including the unit sample unit step exponential signals and sinusoids and discuss their properties such as growth decay and oscillation. You will also learn essential signal operations like time shifting time reversal addition multiplication and scalar operations with clear examples. The lecture explains the concepts of finite and infinite length sequences causality and periodicity in discrete time sinusoids. By the end of this session you will understand the differences between continuous and discrete time sinusoids and know the conditions required for periodicity in discrete time signals to prepare you for advanced signal analysis and processing.

About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme
IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
