Welcome to Lecture 11 of the course "Digital Signal Processing" by Prof.David Koilpllai
Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/course_pages/EE3101.html

Video Overview
In this lecture you will learn about time scaling which is a fundamental operation on discrete time sequences in signal processing. We will cover downsampling which reduces the sampling rate and see its effects on sequences and upsampling which increases the sampling rate by inserting zeros between samples. You will also learn how to effectively combine operations such as shifting scaling and time reversal when working with sequences. The lecture includes an introduction to fractional rate conversion which helps in changing the sampling rate by a fractional factor in practical systems. Step by step examples are provided to clearly explain the concepts of shifting time reversal downsampling and upsampling so you can confidently apply these concepts in digital signal processing.

About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme
IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
