Welcome to Lecture 14 of the course "Digital Signal Processing" by Prof.David Koilpllai
Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/course_pages/EE3101.html
Video Overview
In this lecture you will learn about upsampling and downsampling in discrete time signals with clear step by step examples to understand how these operations affect signals. We will explore how the order of upsampling and downsampling and the relative primality of their factors impact the resulting sequences and the conditions under which a signal can be perfectly preserved through these operations. You will also learn how to determine the periodicity of a signal formed by the product of two periodic signals and analyze tricky examples to strengthen your conceptual understanding. This session will help you confidently handle practical problems in resampling and periodicity in digital signal processing.
About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme
IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
