Welcome to Lecture 30 of the course "Digital Signal Processing" by Prof.David Koilpllai
Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/course_pages/EE3101.html

Video Overview
In this lecture you will gain a clear understanding of the Nyquist Shannon sampling theorem and its practical applications in signal processing. We will work through examples to determine the Nyquist rate for different continuous time signals including sinusoids squared sinusoids and sinc functions. The lecture also explains how low pass filtering affects the required sampling rate and how to avoid aliasing during the sampling process. By the end you will understand how to accurately reconstruct signals from discrete samples and apply these concepts confidently in analog to digital conversion tasks.

About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme
IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
