Welcome to Lecture 41 of the course "Digital Signal Processing" by Prof.David Koilpllai
Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/course_pages/EE3101.html

Video Overview
This lecture explains the conditions under which the Discrete-Time Fourier Transform (DTFT) exists. The DTFT is a powerful mathematical tool for analyzing the frequency content of discrete-time signals, but it requires certain criteria to ensure convergence. The session highlights how signals must satisfy these conditions for the DTFT to yield finite values across all frequencies. It also explains why sequences such as exponentially growing signals do not have a well-defined DTFT. Understanding these requirements is fundamental for effective signal analysis and processing.

About IIT Madras' online Bachelor of Science programme
IIT Madras offers four-year BS programmes that aim to provide quality education to all, irrespective of age, educational background, or location. The BS programme has multiple levels, which provide flexibility to students to exit at any of these levels. Depending on the courses completed and credits earned, the learner can receive a Foundation Certificate from IITM CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education), Diploma(s) from IIT Madras, or BSc/BS Degrees from IIT Madras.
