Lists are used to store multiple items in a single variable. Lists are one of 4 built-in data types in Python used to store collections of data, the other 3 are Tuple, Set, and Dictionary, all with different qualities and usage.

Data structures are “containers” that organize and group data according to type. The basic Python data structures in Python include list, set, tuples, and dictionary. Each of the data structures is unique in its own way.

The most widely used pandas data structures are the Series and the DataFrame. Simply, a Series is similar to a single column of data while a DataFrame is similar to a sheet with rows and columns.
