In this lecture, I will begin with examples on numerical solution of algebraic equations. I will discuss Python codes on direct and partial substitution and Newton Raphson method and demonstrate different convergence and instability behaviors. I will conclude with a discussion of how a system of equations can be written in a vector form and the solution of a linear system of equations.
