In this lecture, we have covered the City Biodiversity Index (CBI), also known as the Singapore Index, as a self-assessment tool for cities to monitor their biodiversity conservation efforts. We have also reviewed the index's core components—native biodiversity, ecosystem services, and governance—and analyzed its adoption in Indian cities like Pimpri Chinchwad to measure urban ecological health.
