In this lecture, we have covered the evolution of urban ecology from the sociological metaphors of the "Chicago School" to a modern biophysical science that views cities as Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS). We have also distinguished between the frameworks of "Ecology IN Cities" and "Ecology OF Cities," emphasizing the integration of social and ecological drivers.
