In this lecture, we have covered the role of urban ecosystems in the Anthropocene and traced the historical evolution of global environmental governance. We have also examined the pathway to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and reviewed key global biodiversity conventions that shape current policy.
