In this lecture, we have covered the distinction between urban nature and urban biodiversity, classifying the latter into specific typologies and highlighting cities as potential biodiversity hotspots. We have also discussed the benefits and challenges of maintaining biodiversity in urban areas, along with methods for its measurement and assessment.
