In this lecture, we have covered the concept of urban ecosystem imbalance, where anthropogenic pressures disrupt natural structures and functions, often creating "novel ecosystems" with impaired integrity. We have also discussed the "Urban Critical Zone" and identified key dimensions and indicators for measuring these ecological imbalances.
