In this lecture, we have covered the role of greenhouse gases in urban ecosystems, focusing specifically on Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Methane (CH4) as primary drivers of climate change. We have also examined the urban carbon cycle, analyzing concepts such as urban carbon imbalance, the formation of urban climate domes, and the potential for cities to act as climate sinks.
