In this lecture, we explore various tribal movements during the colonial rule, ranging from constitutional efforts to armed insurgency, which were shaped by the region’s unique geopolitical situation, its relative isolation, as well as cross-border ethnic ties, distinguishing the communities from those in other parts of India.
