Did you know your SAP BTP trial account might refuse to give you 4GB of memory in a single sub-account, and the reason is actually a hidden regional service availability issue most people never think to check? This session takes the commercial model theory from the previous class and turns it into a real, live provisioning exercise: setting up a directory, splitting entitlements between integration and application development, and troubleshooting exactly the kind of quirky, real-world region and quota issues an architect runs into on an actual project, not a clean demo.

Chapters:
00:00 Introduction
00:04:46 BTP Account Structure Overview
00:11:08 Service Instances Explained
00:22:16 Cloud Foundry Memory Allocation
00:41:44 Account Configuration & Troubleshooting
00:55:24 Transport Management System (TMS) & CI/CD
In this video, you'll learn:
A full recap of the three commercial models: Pay-As-You-Go, fixed Subscription, and the flexible CPEA/Enterprise Agreement model with cloud credits
Why entitlements and quotas always live at the global account level, and how consumption flows down to sub-accounts
How to plan a platform roadmap as a solution architect, deciding which services to activate now vs. in the next 6 to 12 months
The real difference between service-based instances and reusable instances, and why bundling too many apps into one instance creates licensing and scaling headaches
How regional service availability can force you to split a directory across two regions (e.g., Integration Suite in Singapore, application development in the US) to get full memory allocation
Why memory and runtime are two separate consumption factors in Cloud Foundry, and how that affects your sub-account design
Live, honest troubleshooting of real BTP quirks, including a case where the platform allowed deleting an entitlement it shouldn't have, and how to recover from it
Seeing an architect work through real platform limitations live, mistakes, quirks, and all, teaches you more about production-grade BTP planning than any polished demo ever could.
Keep this session as a working reference; the next class picks up exactly where the environment setup left off.
