What if you could automatically find AWS resources that violate your security and compliance rules — without checking them one by one?
In this hands-on AI-Driven DevSecOps practical, we'll use Cloud Custodian (c7n) to automatically audit AWS S3 buckets and identify resources that don't meet our defined compliance policy.
This video is part of Phase 7 — Advanced Frontiers of the AI-Driven DevSecOps Course by The Techzeen.
In This Practical
Install and configure AWS CLI on Ubuntu Linux
Configure AWS credentials securely
Create and activate a Python Virtual Environment
Install Cloud Custodian (c7n)
Create a Policy-as-Code YAML policy
Audit AWS S3 buckets automatically
Detect S3 buckets missing the required Environment tag
Run Cloud Custodian audit mode
Generate compliance audit results
Verify the results using the Cloud Custodian report command
The goal is simple:
AWS Resources → Policy → Automated Audit → Violations → Report
This is how modern DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Policy-as-Code, and Compliance Automation workflows reduce manual security checks and help teams stay continuously audit-ready.
Tools Covered: AWS CLI, AWS S3, Python Virtual Environment, Cloud Custodian, YAML, Policy-as-Code
If you're learning DevSecOps, AWS Cloud Security, Cloud Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security, Compliance Automation, or Policy-as-Code, this practical is an essential skill for your toolkit.
