Real Security Example
An AI assistant may need permission to read files inside a project folder. That doesn't mean it should automatically access private keys, read unrelated files, or delete important data.

This is why secure AI tool integration requires carefully scoped permissions, proper authorization, input validation, isolation where appropriate, and human approval for sensitive operations.

Important: MCP standardizes communication between AI applications and external capabilities. It does not automatically make every tool or server secure.

Why This Matters for AI Engineers
As AI agents become more capable, connecting models to external tools becomes an important part of AI application engineering. Understanding MCP and its security implications helps you design more controlled, maintainable tool integrations.
