There are two libraries that can make React Native forms much easier to manage and validate: React Hook Form and Zod.

In Video 29 of AI Mobile Engineer 2026, we explore both libraries from concept to practical implementation.

First, we understand what React Hook Form is, why developers use it, and how it helps manage form state and submissions without manually handling everything ourselves.

Then we explore Zod, a TypeScript-first schema validation library, and understand how schema based validation can help us validate user input before submitting it.

After understanding the concepts, we move into a complete practical implementation.

We use Gemini to create a professional development prompt and then give that prompt to Cursor AI. Cursor builds a complete React Native form screen where React Hook Form manages the form and Zod handles validation.

Then we connect the form with Firebase Cloud Firestore and save the submitted data to the database.

Finally, we run the application on a physical device using Expo Go and test the complete flow from form input and validation to successful Firestore submission.
