Extract readable text from the image and display it separately from the organized document information.

Document AI: Structured Information
Convert the extracted information into structured fields, including merchant name, date, receipt number, customer name, items, subtotal, discount, tax, grand total, and payment status.

Editable Results
Switch between the Vision Summary, Raw OCR Text, and Document AI sections. Review and edit extracted values before confirming them.

Modern Mobile UI/UX
Use NativeWind for dark-mode styling, React Native Reanimated for scan-line animations, and Expo Router for app navigation.

Gemini + Cursor AI Workflow
Use Gemini to help craft the implementation prompt, Cursor AI to build the app, and the OpenAI API to analyze receipt images.

Test on a Physical Device
Run the app through Expo Go and test the complete workflow with a real receipt photo.

IMPORTANT API KEY SECURITY
Never put a private OpenAI API key in a mobile app bundle. Expo variables prefixed with EXPO_PUBLIC_ are accessible to client-side code and are not a secure way to store secrets. For a safer deployment, route API requests through a secure backend and validate AI-generated data before saving it.
