One code push → automated Docker build → secure image push to GCP — zero manual steps.
If your CI pipeline still uses JSON keys or manual deployments, it’s already outdated.

In this production-grade DevOps masterclass, we build a real industry CI pipeline using Next.js, Multi Stage Docker, GitHub Actions, Workload Identity Federation, and Google Cloud Artifact Registry — implemented from scratch with architect level best practices.
This is not a demo pipeline. This is how modern DevOps teams ship containers securely.
We begin by creating and optimizing a Next.js app using standalone output for minimal container size and faster deployments. Then we design an industry standard multi stage Dockerfile using Node 20 Alpine with clean stage separation (base, deps, builder, runner) and explain every production decision.
You will implement secure cloud authentication using Workload Identity Federation — the modern keyless method that replaces risky service account JSON keys. We configure WIF pools, providers, attribute mapping, and controlled service account access.
We create a private Artifact Registry repository, configure least privilege IAM roles, set secure GitHub repository secrets, and write a full GitHub Actions workflow YAML that automates the entire pipeline.
Push to main branch → GitHub runner starts → secure GCP login → Docker build → image pushed to Artifact Registry — fully automated and production safe.
By the end, you won’t just have a pipeline — you’ll have a reusable, secure CI architecture blueprint.
