How to Create Motion Graphics Before we dive into the process, it’s important to understand exactly what a motion graphic is. (This is especially true if you’re collaborating with people unfamiliar with the different types of video.) Simply put, motion graphics are animated graphics that tell a story. Motion graphic stories can be told through kinetic text, animated images, or both. They can be 2D or 3D. There are so many options, which is why we love them. An example:
