The Community Health Nursing course focuses on the principles and practices of delivering healthcare to individuals, families, and populations within their communities. It emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of common health issues across diverse groups. Students will learn how to assess community health needs, plan and implement health programs, and evaluate their outcomes. The course highlights the nurse’s role in addressing environmental, social, and cultural factors that affect health, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and community organizations. Topics include maternal and child health, communicable disease control, chronic disease management, and health education. Special attention is given to vulnerable populations and strategies to reduce health disparities. Ethical and legal responsibilities in community practice are also explored.
