in this course we will learn about the principles, operation, and clinical applications of Computed Tomography (CT). The course covers how CT scanners use X-rays and computer algorithms to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. Participants will explore the components of a CT scanner, image acquisition and reconstruction techniques, and protocols for different body systems. We will also discuss the use of contrast media to enhance imaging, radiation safety protocols to protect patients, and troubleshooting common equipment issues. Emphasis will be placed on interpreting CT images accurately to assist in diagnosing conditions such as tumors, fractures, and internal bleeding. By the end of the course, learners will have the skills to operate CT scanners effectively in various healthcare settings.
