in this course we will learn about the Nursing Pharmacology field, focusing on how medications are used to treat various conditions and how nurses can safely administer them. The course will cover essential topics such as pharmacokinetics (how drugs move through the body) and pharmacodynamics (how drugs affect the body), along with medication administration practices, dosage calculations, and error prevention. We’ll explore medications for key systems, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems, as well as antibiotics, psychotropic drugs, and pain management therapies. Emphasis will also be placed on patient education, monitoring for side effects, and promoting medication adherence to ensure safe and effective patient care.
